  • MINT® PDO Thread Facelift is surgical-grade, dissolve-able Polydioxanone (PDO).

    This is a bio-degradable suture which is also used in surgery to close wounds.

    The body slowly absorbed the thread and it is replaced by collagen.

  • The MINT® PDO thread is specially molded with circular micro-hooks (barbs) on all sides which grab and hold onto the lower layer of the skin.

    When tension is place on the thread, the skin is tightened in the direction of the thread.

    Two threads, an upper and lower thread are used in each area treated. The two threads are tied together to anchor them in place.

  • You won’t feel pain

    Local anesthesia is used to numb the area where is treated.

  • You will feel the skin is pulled and tightened.

  • The MINT® PDO Thread Lift is best for men and women in their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.

    It can be done in those 70 and up, but it is always better to have the it done at early age for best result.

    Botox® relaxes wrinkles but it does NOT fill the collagen and fat that we lose as we age. Thus, facial fillers are used under the eyes and in the lower half of the face.

The Science

MINT® PDO Thread Lift is the replacement of traditional surgical facelift

  • The MINT® PDO Thread Lift is a replacement of traditional surgical facelift

    The fact that the thread lift can be performed with just a small amount of local anesthesia in about 90 minutes with no stitches is miraculous.

    You are completely awake and there is no need for sedation since the procedure is mostly painless and safe.

    During Procedure:

    1. First, topical numbing cream is applied. A small amount of local anesthesia is then injected in the area and a small, painless puncture is made to permit insertion of the thread.

    2. A small puncture is made behind the angle of the jaw and just below the ear for insertion of threads along the jawline.

    3. A small needle is inserted into the puncture and threaded along with the jaw while painlessly injecting a special local anesthetic which numbs the area and reduces the chance of any bruising or bleeding.

    Jawline treatment, a “canula” (small round metal tube) is carefully inserted at just the right level under the skin structure. From the skin puncture behind the jaw to just above the jaw bone at the corner of the mouth.

    After the cannula is inserted and checked for perfect placement, the MINT® PDO thread is fed down the center of the cannula to just below the corner of the mouth. The cannula is gently withdrawn leaving the thread in place.

    Another thread is placed in the same way just under the jawbone to reduce and pull back the “double chin” area.

    The two threads which are protruding from the puncture site beneath the ear are carefully pulled back towards the back of the head and the skin is massaged onto the barbs on the thread.

    The two threads are then tied together, the loose ends trimmed and the knot is pushed under the skin. A new jawline has been established.

    The above procedure is repeated on the other side of the face, then checked and adjusted for perfect symmetry.
