What Is ProFractional Resurfacing Laser Treatment?

ProFractional Resurfacing - often referred as Fractional Therapy, is a quick and comfortable laser procedure used for improving the overall appearance of your skin.  Fractional Resurfacing uses a tiny laser beam to treat thousands of pinpoint areas of your skin.  Because only a fraction of your skin is directly treated with laser, the surrounding untreated tissue promotes rapid healing.  This skin’s wound healing response creates new collagen which add firmness and resilience to the skin.  Immediately after a Fractional treatment you will begin to experience tighter and rejuvenated skin.  Because a large portion of the skin is left intact, healing time is faster than other ablative laser treatments.  The depth of the treatment will determine downtime.  ProFractional Resurfacing is a great procedure on its own as well as an outstanding additional procedure to deep resurfacing, BBL (BroadBandLight like Intense Pulse Light) and MicrolaserPeels.

Benefits of ProFractional Resurfacing

  • Thickens and restores sun-damaged skin which will look and feel smoother and firmer.  Healthy younger looking skin, and will improve the appearance of scars.
  • Addresses acne scars, skin pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, acne, texture and tone of the skin, evens out skin discoloration, and sun-damage.
  • Increases collagen.  By creating tiny channels in your skin, the laser stimulates your skin and forces it to create new collagen.

When should I expect to see results?

As your skin heals in the days following your treatment, you may notice a general tightening effect.  However, the true benefit of Fractional Resurfacing is the collagen remodeling that occurs during the 4-6 months following your treatment.
